About the artist
Julien Gasc's musical journey began in the quaint village of Brassac in the Tarn, where he first discovered the enchanting world of music through the piano at the tender age of 5. His musical odyssey continued as he delved into learning the clarinet, guitar, and double bass, each instrument adding new dimensions to his sonic repertoire.
In 1994, Julien embarked on his musical endeavors, forming his inaugural group. Over the years, his musical exploration led him to the realm of free jazz in 1999, igniting a creative spark that would shape his artistic trajectory. By 2001, he ventured into songwriting in his native French, giving rise to the formation of Momotte. Subsequently, he lent his talents to various musical projects, including Hyperclean and Aquaserge, the latter of which saw him contributing as a founding member until 2021.
Following a stint in Berlin in 2007, Julien and his cohorts from Aquaserge established their creative hub at the Electric Mami Studio. This collaborative effort birthed an array of musical gems, including acclaimed albums such as "Ce Très Cher Serge" (2010) and "À l'Amitié" (2014), alongside collaborative ventures with esteemed artists like Lætitia Sadier and Eddy Crampes.
In 2008, Julien embarked on a captivating journey with Stereolab, providing his keyboard prowess and backing vocals for an exhilarating tour that culminated in Tokyo in 2009. Concurrently, he embarked on a solo venture, releasing his debut album "Cerf, Biche et Faon" (2013) under 2000 records.
Julien's musical evolution continued to flourish as he relocated to the Paris suburbs in 2013, forging collaborations with renowned labels such as Born Bad Records and Crammed Discs. His solo endeavors expanded, with several albums recorded in London alongside talented musicians, forming the esteemed Gasc Band and captivating audiences across Europe and England.
Amidst numerous collaborations with a diverse array of artists spanning genres and styles, Julien returned to the idyllic landscapes of southwestern France, where he continued to weave his musical tapestry, both as a solo artist and alongside esteemed collaborators, perpetuating his legacy as a versatile and innovative musician.

Grand Jardin
Grand Jardin tells us the story of a man's search for his feelings in the remains of a nature with infinite landscapes. It is also the soundtrack of an imaginary film, in which the composer would write music for a popular filmmaker, in the manner of François de Roubaix. Some musical topics evoke the dream of escape from a fantasized Brazil, others the playful joys of the countryside. This sonic wandering infuses our listening with a joyful melancholy, that of childhood, and of another time where the tragic and the comic are mixed. The piano melodies charm us, and the sensual voices lull us, in the purest tradition of French arrangers of film music, and musical illustration.
